About Me

I am a highly experienced lawyer qualified in both Italy and Hungary, with over 15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) specializing in technology and innovation, intellectual property, international business, data protection, transportation, fashion, agri-food, and art law.

My Journey and Expertise

I began my legal career with a strong foundation in law and political science, having earned my Juris Doctor (LL.D.) from Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Budapest, graduating cum laude.

My educational journey was further enriched by an Erasmus scholarship at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, focusing on EU and international law.

Throughout my career, I have worn many hats – from being a senior associate at prestigious law firms to co-founding and partnering at Fasano Paulovics Società tra Avvocati.

For almost a decade I have also worked as Case Manager for Internet Disputes and Manager of External Relations at MFSD Intellectual Property Dispute Resolution Center and Academy (Milan), overviewing the online dispute resolution service and the external relations for the Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS) domain disputes and developing the online case management system with the software house.

Currently, I lead my own practice, Avv. Ivett Paulovics Law Firm in Milan, where I provide comprehensive legal services to a diverse clientele, including start-ups, SMEs, NGOs, and large multinational corporations.

Professional Affiliations and Contributions

I serve as an arbitrator, mediator, and domain name panelist across various international platforms, including the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre, the Canadian International Internet Dispute Resolution Centre, the Czech Arbitration Court, FORUM in the USA, and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (Japan).

Additionally, I am an active member of several prestigious organizations such as the Milan Bar Association, the High-Level Group on Internet Governance at European Commission DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG Connect), ICANN's Rights Protection Mechanisms Policy Development Process Working Group, the International Council of Museums (ICOM), and the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA) Internet Committee.

Publications and Speaking Engagements

I am a regular contributor to legal publications and have authored numerous studies and articles on topics ranging from domain name disputes to the intersection of technology and law. My work includes contributions to LexisNexis and studies commissioned by the European Commission.

As a seasoned speaker, I frequently present at conferences and workshops, sharing my insights and fostering discussions on legal tech, IP law, and international business.
